Ryon McCabe elected 2013-14 President of the Federal Bar Association

Scale of justiceAugust 2013 –McCabe Rabin, P.A. probably announces that firm partner Ryon McCabe has been elected president of the Palm Beach County Chapter of the Federal Bar Association. McCabe will serve as president from August 2013 through August 2014.

The Federal Bar Association (“FBA”) is a nationwide group of lawyers dedicated to improving the practice of law in federal courts for federal court practitioners, both public and private, for the judiciary and for the public they serve.

The Palm Beach County chapter of the FBA has approximately 200 members. The group meets on a monthly basis and host several events throughout the year, including a CLE program for introduction to the federal courts for new practitioners.

As president of the Palm Beach Chapter, McCabe will preside over monthly FBA meetings and coordinate activities of the chapter. He will work closely with the federal judges in the West Palm Beach Division of the Southern District of Florida as well as court personnel and officers of the FBA chapter.

McCabe has been active in the FBA during his entire 20 years of practice. Early in his career, McCabe served as a law clerk to a federal district court judge in the Northern District of Florida. He also as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Southern District of Florida. He is admitted to practice in all federal courts in the State of Florida, as well as the United States Supreme Court. His current practice involves a great deal of federal court work including qui tam whistleblower cases filed under the False Claims Act

Before being elected president, McCabe previously served as the secretary, treasurer, and vice president of the Palm Beach FBA Chapter.
