Grand Jury Investigations

In the federal system, prosecutors investigate and charge their cases through the grand jury system. The grand jury has the power to issue subpoenas calling for witnesses to appear and testify and/or to produce documents to the grand jury. The recipient of one of these subpoenas could be a "target," a "subject," or a "witness" in the investigation. McCabe Rabin represents people and companies who have been served with grand jury subpoenas, and our attorneys work closely to (a) help clients determine their status in the investigation, and (b) assist them in complying with the subpoena. Our grand jury attorneys prepare witnesses for grand jury testimony, attend "proffer" sessions with the government, and help clients determine and understand their Fifth Amendment rights and options.
