CPAs are often the front line for detecting financial advisor mismanagement of a client's accounts. This often occurs when a CPA is preparing a client's annual tax returns and notes substantial losses in investment accounts, most of which cannot be deducted in a specific year. Mr. McCabe's article focuses on signs in the clients themselves, e.g., age, health, sophistication, etc., in addition to indicators that appear on the client's account statements. Federal Court Hosts Successful Second Biennial Bench & Bar Conference |  On April 30, Adam Rabin co-chaired the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida's Second Biennial Bench & Bar Conference at the Doral Resort. Mark Nichols Joins the Firm as an Associate |  Mark Nichols has joined the firm as an associate. Mark is a 2008 law school graduate of the University of Florida and also received his Bachelor of Arts there. Mark previously practiced in the Sarasota area and will be practicing in Business and Securities Litigation with the firm. Mark is an active member of Florida Bar's Business Litigation Committee, where as a second-year attorney, he already has been appointed as Vice-Chair of the committee. Team Wins FSU Jimbo Fisher Golf Tournament |  On May 8, 2010, a team sponsored by McCabe Rabin, P.A., shot 16-under par (56) to win the FSU Jimbo Fisher Golf Tournament by two shots at Atlantis Country Club in Lake Worth, Florida. The team consisted of FSU alums Ryon McCabe and Evan Frederick of McCabe Rabin, P.A., Scott Smith, and Scott Shields.
